Recently two of our esteemed Board members were awarded for their contributions to our community, distinquished in Business.  NYS Assembly representative Rebecca Kassay presented NYS Citations on Saturday March 21, 2026 at the Women of Distinction Awards ceremony. Well deserved and congratulations Jennifer Dzvonar, our current Executive Director/Past President and Indu Kaur, the current Vice President of Port Jefferson Station/Terryville Chamber of Commerce!

Jennifer Dzvonar has dedicated countless hours to strengthening the Port Jefferson Station and Terryville communities, serving as President of the Port Jefferson Station/Terryville Chamber of Commerce and helping transform Train Car Park into a vibrant community gathering space. Through her work with the Rotary Club, the Polish American Independent Club Ladies Auxiliary, and other local events like the Polar Express and summer concerts, she has fostered a strong sense of community pride and engagement. Balancing her professional responsibilities, family life, and volunteer efforts, Jennifer exemplifies dedication and selflessness.

Indu Kaur has distinguished herself as a respected business owner, serving as Operations Director of The Meadow Club in Port Jefferson Station and operating the Curry Club at SāGhar in Port Jefferson, where she has helped create memorable dining and event experiences for the community. Indu, also, serves as the Vice President of Port Jefferson Station/Terryville Chamber Vice President With more than fourteen years of experience in hospitality and operations, Indu has worked to expand multicultural and South Asian catering opportunities across Long Island while building strong partnerships with venues, universities, and local organizations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indu led efforts to provide hot meals to frontline hospital workers throughout Long Island and New York City while also helping relocate and modernize her family’s long-standing business.
